There's a lovely myth that hic sunt dracones - 'here be dragons' - was placed on the edges of the known world by medieval cartographers. In fact it's only found once, on The Lenox Globe, though there are a fair few examples of dragons on maps elsewhere (like the 19th Century Japanese map on the left).
I love the idea of Terra Incognita, exploring new territory and white spaces. So this blog is a quest to find today's dragons; things that are in the vanguard, trailblazing ideas and pioneering creativity. And a quest to find today's dragon seekers; the people who investigate and the probe the boundaries of the unknown a little, the sleuths, seekers and stalkers. It'll probably be a bit of hodgepodge of notions, odds and ends depending on where my inclination takes me.
